Science Slam Main Event

In our Science Slam Event, our speakers who have been trained in the workshop and rehearsal are finally presenting their talks!

This is what happens at a Munich Science Slam event

First things first: Welcoming of the audience members, meet and mingle with pizza and drinks, collection of improv talk volunteers, name tag drawings.

The slam starts: Welcome words and introduction of the Munich Science Slam Mission, explanation of our live feedback system.

First round of talks: Before each talk: Introduction of each speaker, drawing of improv talk volunteer. THE TALK! After each talk: live feedback from the audience and improv talk.

BREAK TIME! Meet and mingle and network!

Second round of talks: Before each talk: Introduction of each speaker, drawing of improv talk volunteer. THE TALK! After each talk: live feedback from the audience and improv talk.

At the end: Data analysis and evaluation of the audience’s best rated talk and the awards ceremony.

THAT’S IT! Now it is time for an afterparty to continue talking science!

"I loved the clarity and area of the topic, alongside with the speaker's enthusiasm!"

"The speakers clearly demonstrated the importance of their goal of the study!"

"Speakers had good rhetorical skills and short, clear, but interesting messages!"

"They had an interesting take-home message."

"I loved how passionate and interested they were on their topic."
